The latest scams surfacing show that Pakistanis are not capable of governing themselves and need to be punished more than the normal human.

Nawaz Sharif out did himself with his plunder of the resources of Pakistan, which are a sacred trust in the charge of the ruler whoever it may be. The only constant is the people.

They remain subject to this plunder. Imran Khan is making a huge mistake in not punishing the previous rulers. A case in point is the collapse of PIA. Nawaz Sharif gifted the traffic rights to Emirates for a small backhander which he considered his due as he had gifted these traffic rights.

At that time the other airlines were billed a levy of 200 USD for every passenger beyond Karachi. This is not being collected as it was gifted to EK by Nawaz Sharif as he was a fellow ruler. As a brother ruler it was royal to royal. A staggering 60 million USD were taken from the PIA revenues and gifted to EK.

These were PIA revenues but collected by EK and no royalty was paid for these revenues. This was a huge benefit taken by EK courtesy Nawaz Sharif. PIA never could cope with such a massive hole in its revenues. Nowhere in the world does a ruler sabotage his own national carrier. The PIA staff should be made aware of the reason for the collapse of PIA. An example is no carrier is allowed to fly into Ankara. They are only allowed to fly to Istanbul one point. To go to Ankara, the capital of Turkey they have to fly on Turkish airline only.

All passenger have to follow this rule. No foreign airline is allowed to fly into Ankara even though it is the capital of Turkey. The revenues generated by the airline contribute to the economy of the city they fly into. PIA built new airports, hotels and even chicken farms.

Guided tours of Karachi should be conducted to show how the once stage dazzling city of lights can now be seen as a forlorn decrepit shadow of its former self due to callous greed and stupidity of its rulers. These employees should question the PML N rulers on the destruction of their livelihood. These employees must rise up against this flawed leadership for removing their jobs which were amongst the choicest jobs available in Pakistan and were the most desirable. Even Bhutto‘s nephew had to approach his uncle, the then Prime Minister for his job in PIA.
