The Election Commission stands exposed by its first step that of validation of Yousaf Reza Gillani election to the Senate.
If the first step is placed wrongly, then the subsequent steps followed will be flawed unless corrected.
The correction required becomes more drastic the longer the delay. In Pakistan the wrong is now endemic, and any correction is viewed as contrary and rejected.
Thus a PPP office holder is shown in media blatantly stating ‘corruption is my right.’
A dark reminder of the deep division currently being exploited by the Zardari forces.
This change of direction becomes increasingly difficult over the time elapsed.
Zardari and Nawaz Sharif brazenly displayed their wealth as examples of their success.
They do not care to admit that their fortune is based on continued illegalities.

Arguing that they have not yet been caught. A weak prosecution is not proof of innocence nor a judgement thus obtained can be used as proof of legitimacy.

Thus the Election Commission has been used to issue a fig leaf of legitimacy to cover the monstrous crimes that have been committed in the past and more to follow.

It is thus imperative that the Supreme Court steps in and rule the Election Commission decision invalid.

The Election Commission is itself illegal and unconstitutional by virtue of this illegal action which is contrary to the law and the interest of the state.
The members of the tribunal should be barred from hearing of the passing of any future judgements.

The PM office should issue instructions to the law ministry to prosecute the members of the Election Commission for failing in their duty and prohibit them from any further such action having proved themselves as disqualified, for conduct unbecoming.
This should have been Yousaf Reza Gillani’s original sentence so that he could sin no more.
It is obvious that Pakistanis need more than a slap on the wrist.
A scaffold should be erected in the Court to make the message clear.

Meanwhile the Army Chief should make his position clear and his displeasure known. General Bajwa is part of the PM’s team and should make it known.
Lip service will not do. Perhaps a few warning shots to send a clearer signal.
Prime Minister, the steps may seem drastic but we Pakistanis need more than a gentle prod.
It is obvious that the Army Chief is not aware of the seriousness of the predicament facing Imran Khan’s government.
The Army Chief must make his position known lest, the corrective measures need more drastic changes.
The Zardari/Nawaz League considers themselves above the law.

The Election Commission decision is indicative of this fallacy and may have been dictated to by Nawaz Sharif/PPP requirements.
More obtuse direction cannot be expected unless by a partisan Election Commission.
The Supreme Court is requested to issue a short order to clarify this dangerous anomaly.
The Prime Minister is facing problems compounded by the illegalities still being employed by the Zardari factor.
Only the Supreme Court can correct the Election Commission decision by declaring the Yousaf Reza Gillani Senate election invalid.
The urgency of this correction cannot be over emphasised. The entire electoral process is in jeopardy. Only the Supreme Court can intertwine and correct this monstrous blunder by the Election Commission.
