Articles of the year 2020

The PDM has shown that a handful of people with political skill and mountains of corrupt cash can claw their way back to power.
Imran Khan with all his honesty in tact, is being made into a scapegoat, and a new government may be brought in to usher in a new NRO.
The people are being fed a daily diet of highly enriched lies and compliant media through well oiled rumour mills, laced with heavy dollops of tales of incompetence.
Imran Khan may do well by dissolving the assemblies. As the opposition is using its members to make a nuisance larger than their numbers and to create an impression to show their strength to be larger than reality.
The spin masters of the opposition will continue their mantra of innocence. Imran Khan should insist on concluding the trials, and seek the disqualification of those under trial at the least.
All the properties of those under trial should be seized. Not attached but seized.
This will give a remarkable dousing effect on the loud cacophony heard - the auction of Jati Umra would be welcomed by the public.
People thrive in other peoples misery, and when the money looted is from the people the clamour is louder still.
The jeering and cheering crowds that lined the way for Marie Antoinette’s cart has been immortalised in paintings and sketches. Not a tear was shed for the royal couple led to the guillotine. No tears, there never are.
When Jati Umra is auctioned, the mobs will mostly be of the PMLN Ilk but will cheer loudly at the auction. That is the way of the world.
Imran Khan must punish the politicians who are already charged.
If Imran Khan is incapable of executing the judgements then those putting up the weakened charges should be sent home in disgrace for their inability to prosecute the obviously errant politicians.
The judiciary should also be charged with being complicit. The judiciary is the parent body from which the NAB officers are appointed and needs a careful overhauling.
Imran Khan should go to the people and call for a referendum against those forces in the establishment that are creating obstacles.
The writ of the state is not enforced and an elected PM is not being allowed to function.
This collusive effect can be read as a subtle undermining of the PTI govertnment.
In reality the people will believe that the establishment is acting in a manner in conflict with the civilian government.
For establishment to protest its impartiality is to assume naïveté in the people.
It can hang a PM, and change governments at will and now to pretend that they are not interfering in the state, is indeed incredulous.
The people realise they are being played, and if indeed the PTI government is being sabotaged in this manner then perhaps it is time for a change.
The Prime Minister has the mandate of millions of people whose future is at stake.
The people watch with alarm that an honest PM is being pressured into removal by an establishment pandering to motley crew of corrupt has been fighting for power.
That is ostensibly acting in cahoots with the likes of Maulana Diesel and Achakzai, and an absconded convict.
If the establishment is considering removal of Imran Khan and installing a national government, which would take Pakistan back to the robber barons then the future of our children and their children are lost as were the last fifty years of political misrule.
The Army must carefully examine its actions and prevent the establishment from these divisive strategies.
It is too large and disciplined an organisation to be led astray by a handful of errant officers in the establishment.
