We have been expecting an attack from the Indians. Every indicator has shown that the Indians are hurting and under pressure from all the neighbours.
They are targetting Pakistan as they consider us a threat to their stranglehold on Kashmir. A defeat to the Indians could destabilise the Modi government which is increasing the isolated biopic vision. Its reaction of Hindu supremacy does not connect with history.
The last brave Hindu warrior was Ashoka whose image is lost in the midst of history. His exploits were recounted in ancient lore but too many millennial have past and the dreams have faded a long time ago. The myth of Hindu warriorship lies in tatters destroyed by the Chinese without a shot being fired.
The Bharat ego that was boosted by Modi suddenly finds itself deflated at the hands of unarmed Chinese. For Modi the massive Indian movie industry which was the backbone of Indian folklore has now been exposed as fiction and not real.
Modi used the Bollywood hype to propagate his image that was shattered by the Chinese in three days. Modi now has to face a real world with real soldiers firing real bullets. He will also have to contend a highly educated people who are screaming for answers. The Indian media gagging order notwithstanding.
The threats he has been making to Pakistan for a long time with even a “N” attack is sending tremors through the civilised world, his proxy attacks on the Karachi Stock Exchange is a gambit expected and long over due.
Unfortunately for Modi he may find the Pakistani forces ready for any misadventures. The attack on the stock exchange is an attempt to create confusion in Karachi.
The attackers have been chosen well. Karachi is being headed by Asif Zardari and his son Bilawal, both rabidly anti-Imran. Coupled with PML-N support, it is expected that civil unrest will develop.
This game plan appears to be simple and is expected to shake the foundation of Imran Khan’s government but the Pakistanis realised that the movers consist of all the haves pretending to be have nots.
The list of Shahbaz, Nawaz, Zardari and Bilawal read like a who’s who of NAB’s absconders with strong sympathetic judiciary. They may find themselves the hated majority with an angry public realising that the forty years of sham democracy has been an excuse to loot and pillage.
When this connection of criminal politicians baying for Imran’s blood finds itself on the same page as the Modi move, the Pakistani people will rise up in fury.
The Indians have just added themselves to the anti Imran mix. This is a sure recipe for disaster. The people will never accept an Indian connection to their politicians. The Pakistan army is already concerned at the behaviour of these politicians screaming for Imran’s blood. The General realises that the anti Imran forces have been joined by a Modi touch. This may be the last straw of political adventurism.
