The results of the GB elections have shown that the people of Pakistan have matured politically, and are not misled by “catchy slogan”. They are far more progressive than the Leaders believe. The Nawaz doctrine has failed miserably, and his return is now in serious doubt. The strategy has been to cast Nawaz as the leader of the people. His attempt at projecting himself as the leader of the people has failed miserably. Nelson Mandela he is not. Any charade can now be forgotten as the public will see through these lies. Above all Imran Khan has proved that the political opportunism, the pot of gold to be divvied up by the winners, is now a thing of the past, and the people will not vote for corruption. They fully understand that the vote is their future. Corruption is the loss of the people’s future. As the courts are bent out of shape, the only weapon with the people, one that they have learned to exercise is the vote. Hence the disastrous showing of the Nawaz league in the GB election.

Hopefully, the blackmailing of the Judges will now be the strengths of the judges. The culprits so identified should now be suitably punished. The severity of the sentence should be a strong enough deterrent to offer the Judges the protection to do their duty without fear. Only with a strong judiciary democracy can survive. It aims to be seen if the present judges take action against the blackmailers of the judges are punished and the affects will be seen in the judgements. Only then can the courts act against the corrupt. Till then we may face judgements dictated by the Sanaullah and Shahbaz. The shameful clip showing Justice Qayum taking dictation on the phone from Shahbaz is unique in the history of Law, another first for Pakistan. One that should be tried and adjudicated. Only then can pakistan move on.
