Pakistan Blows Myth Of Israeli Superiority In The Skies
Published on March 08th 2019

A rumor is doing the rounds that an Israeli pilot is in our captivity following the three-minute skirmish over Kashmir ending in a 2-0 result, which ran several times on TV. This was first stated by renowned Pakistani political analyst and diplomat Zafar Hilaly.
His statement of the Israeli involvement has not been denied by either the Israelis, Americans or the Indians for that matter. It would have warranted an immediate response from these powers but no denial or confirmation by them is lending credibility to his statement.

Newspaper reports are circulating that Mohammed bin Salman has sent an emissary to negotiate a release of the pilots allegedly in Pakistan’s custody. If correct then the Pakistani pilot Squadron Leader Hasan Siddiqui has indeed redrawn the map of aerial warfare and has written himself into history, which resulted in downing two Indian planes of whom one was a suspected Israeli pilot initiated by Modi’s people. This may have cast a new evaluation of the skills of the combatants involved.

The pilot must be awarded the highest acclaim and the Chinese-Pakistani partnership having produced the JF-17 Thunder is now a must-have in today’s weaponry. If indeed, it is really an Israeli pilot then the myth of the Israeli prowess in the skies and which has been touted since the Arab-Israeli conflict in 1956 has been shattered. In the future, it may even lead the American pilots not wishing to engage with Pakistani pilots.
Warriors throughout history have always been regaled for their prowess in battle. Their edge has been known to tilt the balance in a war. Indications are that the Indians looked to the Israelis but that the skills to tip the balance on the Indian side were lacking. The Pakistani superiority over the Israelis may now bring the Pakistani pilot Squadron Leader Siddiqui to the top of the ladder. This reshuffle in the aerial ranks is of extreme importance because he who controls the skies wins the battle. One must point out at this juncture that the Pakistani pilot in their US training has acquitted himself well. Now under battle conditions to have shot down an Israeli pilot is indeed a huge victory. It shows that the Pakistani air force has succeeded in improving and size doesn’t matter for entering into combat with superior technology or in numbers.

The Israelis, in sending their pilot up against Pakistanis thought it would be a walk in the park. This has definitely proved otherwise and must have shocked the military establishments everywhere. For an Israeli pilot to lose to a Pakistani pilot in a dogfight is truly unthinkable and the shockwaves must be echoing throughout the militaries of the world. This achievement will not be lost on other air forces either. The warning to other pilots to stay clear of the Pakistanis is an incredible boost for Pakistan. This boost in our morale will make the Indians rethink their strategy towards us. We should be grateful to the Indians for allowing us the opportunity to explode the Israeli myth.
God has indeed smiled upon the Pakistanis without whom this wouldn’t be possible. The presence of Israeli advisers on the ground of Rajasthan shows India’s dependence on the Israeli role in supporting the Indians but to no avail. This further bolsters the Pakistani win.

Moshe Dayan must be turning in his grave at this Israeli loss. He had established the punchline that Egyptian tanks had five reverse gears and only one forward. This has brought peals of laughter for audiences of fifty years today because the Israeli superiority has been laid to rest by Pakistan. The myth that was created by the Egyptians and Hollywood has come to an end.
India would be well advised to continue with Bollywood and Hollywood and leave the fighting to real men!
