Honesty
Published on August 08th 2015

The JC verdict is in, and the establishment has won–again. Proving beyond all doubt that tilting at windmills is best left to others.
Let us examine the course Imran should take. Firstly his biggest asset, one that places him far above the others is his honesty. This is essential to the needs of Pakistan today. It also differentiates between Imran and all the other politicians.

Keeping this in mind, the Party must realise that their members are a drawback to Imran, and not vice versa. However Imran has been out manoeuvred by the other politicians, and has failed in many ways in the elections, and the aftermath. The MQM, and the PMLN have managed to overtake the advantages of Imran, and created doubts in the minds of the electorate as to his competence on the National stage. It is time for him to distance himself from the day to day affairs of the party and confine himself to only the framing of policy and such. Anything further will tend to contaminate him with the corruption of Pakistani politics, which is the norm. Hence lesson no 1 his honesty must be kept pure, and unsullied. The membership of the PTI can be changed but the honest reputation of Imran cannot be compromised. Much like virginity, it can not be refound. And so, like virginity it is that much more precious, and worth guarding.

Thus Imran should now rid the party of any dodgy candidates, as they are on the bandwagon for selfish, financial interests, and will be a liability now, and in the future. Imran must build his party keeping in mind the future of Pakistan, and not any short term interests. No politician today has Pakistan in mind, yet they profess to be patriotic to the core. But politics being a game of power, the rules of Machiavelli apply, and all else is secondary. Even the Nation. For Imran, to now establish the Pakistan first rule, he must regain his focus. It would be wise to offer complete support to Nawaz Sharif to rout the corrupt from society. To this end NAB has submitted a list of 150 mega scams to the Supreme Court for prosecution. Today a further 29 mega scams have been added to the list.

Imran should offer to assist the Prime Minister in cleaning up the rampant corruption, of which 179 cases of mega scams are already in the Supreme Court that have been investigated and ready for prosecution. Imran should make this offer publicly, so that all are aware that he has no personal interest other than a clean Pakistan, which will make for a better and more prosperous Pakistan giving the youth of Pakistan a future.
